Carpenter - Construction Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at SKYFLEET CONSTRUCTION INC. as a Construction Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of residential and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare Building Plans: Develop and implement detailed plans for construction projects, adhering to building codes and regulations.
- Measure and Cut Materials: Accurately measure and cut materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to ensure precise fit and finish.
- Assemble and Install Components: Assemble and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Maintain and Repair Structures: Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial buildings, including wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
- Supervise Team Members: Lead and supervise a team of 1 to 2 people, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Transportation and Travel: Utilize public transportation to travel to and from work sites, as needed.
- Work Environment and Physical Demands: Work in a physically demanding environment, requiring the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
- Personal Qualities: Possess excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience and Education: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required, with experience in the trade an asset. Fluency in English is essential for communication with colleagues and clients.
