About the Role

Pennywood Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team. As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and install building components such as floors, walls, and roofs, using measuring tools and equipment.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to create finished products.
  • Install and finish surfaces, including flooring, walls, and ceilings, to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects, and ensure that all necessary materials are on hand.
  • Maintain and repair existing structures, including residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience in the construction industry, preferably in a finish carpentry role.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
  • Good judgment and reliability in a team environment.
Work Environment

The Finish Carpenter will work in a variety of settings, including construction sites, residential areas, and industrial plants. The work environment will be noisy and dusty at times, and the Finish Carpenter must be able to work in these conditions.
