A-1 Care Home Inc. is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to join their team. Key responsibilities include cleaning floors, dusting furniture, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facility. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and have a strong attention to detail.

Work Site Environment

The work site environment is non-smoking and requires the ability to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks. The candidate should be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Setting

The work setting is a health care institution, facility, or clinic. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of these areas.

Tasks

The tasks associated with this position include:

  • Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
  • Dust furniture
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
  • Make beds and change sheets
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries
  • Disinfect operating rooms and other areas
  • Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Wash windows, walls and ceilings
  • Clean changing rooms and showers
Security and Safety

The candidate will be required to undergo a criminal record check and provide references.

Transportation/Travel Information

Public transportation is available for this position.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The candidate should be able to work independently and have a strong attention to detail. The work environment is physically demanding and requires the ability to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks.

Weight Handling

The candidate should be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
