About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Residential Community Support Worker to join our team at WJS Canada. In this role, you will work with clients to achieve their goals and provide support with daily living tasks, behavioral management, and community integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote client independence and well-being
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to clients, encouraging them to reach their full potential
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, cleaning, and household chores
  • Transport clients to appointments, shopping, and leisure activities, ensuring safe and legal transportation
  • Model healthy relationships and boundaries, promoting positive behavior and social skills
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, or disability studies
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in adult, child, and youth care, or with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health issues, or brain injury
  • Valid BC Driver's Class 5 License and clean driver's abstract
  • Positive behavior supports experience and trauma-informed care an asset
  • Valid CPR/First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate (NVCI, Mandt or CPI), and Conflict Resolution Certificate (or ability to obtain within probation period)
