Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Community Support Worker to join our team at WJS Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote independence and well-being
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to clients, encouraging them to reach their goals
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as household chores and meal preparation
  • Transport clients to appointments and activities, ensuring safe and timely arrival
  • Model healthy relationships and boundaries, promoting positive behavior
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in a relevant field, such as Child and Youth Care or Social Work
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in adult, child and youth care, or with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Valid BC Driver's Class 5 License and clean driver's abstract
  • Positive behavior supports experience and Trauma-informed care an asset
