Job Description:

The Logistics Handler will be responsible for managing the effective inventorying and distribution of materials, tools, and equipment to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize daily warehouse activities, considering all risk factors and conditions.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment, including lift trucks and cranes.
  • Update and research material requests using SAP.
  • Plan tool and material requirements from work orders and specifications.
  • Receive, pack, unpack, stock, load, pick, issue, and deliver materials as required.
  • Manage safety equipment, tool cribs, and personal protective equipment.
  • Perform inventory counts, product inspections, and warehouse maintenance.
  • Determine appropriate stock levels and perform inventory control functions.
  • Arrange for equipment testing, repairs, and warranty services.
  • Receive, sort, and check warehouse orders and related paperwork.
  • Organize material in outgoing staging areas and repalletize orders as needed.
  • Load and unload system vehicles.
  • Coordinate material shipments with external carriers.
  • Reconcile material issues, returns, and stock adjustments against reports.
  • Update and prepare reports, records, and documents.
  • Respond to inquiries and complaints by phone, in person, or by correspondence.
  • Operate a vehicle requiring a Class DZ license and associated equipment.
  • Demonstrate safety awareness and adhere to safety rules and regulations.

Requirements:

  • College diploma in Supply Chain or Operations preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience operating lift trucks and material management.
  • Current G license and DZ license or ability to obtain.
  • Valid operator certificates for Counter Balance Forklifts, Narrow Aisle Reach Trucks, and Overhead Cranes.
  • Experience with SAP WMS, SAP ERP, or other Warehouse Management systems is an asset.
  • Experience with HIAB cranes or Overhead cranes is an asset.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to multitask, provide excellent customer service, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Dependability, reliability, and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Collaboration, leadership, and customer service skills are essential.
  • Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
  • Availability to work overtime and standby for emergency requirements.
