This is a senior leadership position that reports directly to the President and CEO of NAV CANADA. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Labour Relations team and providing strategic advice on complex labour-related issues.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a high-performing Labour Relations team that delivers exceptional results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders on labour-related matters, including collective bargaining, grievance resolution, and labour relations strategy.
- Oversee the development and implementation of labour relations policies and procedures that align with the company's overall business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with labour unions, employees, and other stakeholders to promote a positive and productive labour relations environment.
- Lead the negotiation process for collective agreements and other labour-related contracts.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of Labour Relations team members.
- Monitor and analyze labour relations trends and developments to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Labour Relations, with at least 10 years at the leadership level.
- Proven track record of success in leading Labour Relations teams and developing effective labour relations strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
