Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to lead our Indirect Procurement efforts. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing procurement for Indirect categories, ensuring the lowest total cost and highest quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Category Segmentation and Strategy Development: Lead the category segmentation and strategy development efforts for all Indirect categories, including IT, Digital, and Marketing Services.
  2. RFX Efforts and Negotiations: Lead and assist with RFX efforts, negotiate supply agreements, and execute strategies for the category.
  3. Cost Savings and Cash Improvement: Execute annual cost savings, cash improvement, and action plans to deliver corporate objectives for year-over-year improvement in both.
  4. Supplier Partnerships: Support supplier partnerships through activities such as implementing alternative suppliers, alternative materials, and category innovation.
  5. KPI Monitoring and Improvement: Monitor the use of appropriate KPIs to measure and improve the effectiveness of the key elements of the procurement organization.
  6. Innovation and Idea Generation: Generate ideas for new innovations (end-to-end) in the category to ensure we are paying the lowest possible cost and meeting timelines.
  7. Feedstock Benchmarking and Forecasting: Identify primary feedstocks to benchmark historical performance and forecast future price movements, communicating necessary adjustments to the plan.
  8. Process Development and Improvement: Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement appropriate processes and tools.
  9. Financial Accountability: Track savings, manage budgets, and set standard costs.
Working Relationships and Key Stakeholders:
  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, ADX, Marketing, Facilities, Productions, Engineering, R&D, and Warehouse.
  2. Work with stakeholders to define scope of work and business requirements.
Qualifications and Competencies:
  1. Working knowledge of procurement category management.
  2. Understanding of Supply Chain Functions and Linkage.
  3. Understanding of the cosmetic industry, brands, and products.
  4. Understanding of payment terms, total cost of ownership, and supplier audit requirements.
  5. Material cost modeling and basic understanding of commodity markets driving material pricing.
  6. Drive for results, strong analytical capabilities, customer and consumer focus, and verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Competent user of computerized IT systems, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other associated scheduling and forecasting software packages.
  8. 3-5 years of experience working within a procurement tool (SAP, Ariba, etc.) environment at an advanced level.
  9. Prefer procurement certificates.
  10. Minimum of 5-7 years' experience operating in a procurement role, ideally in the cosmetic or consumer goods industry.
