Job Summary:
The Vancouver Aquarium is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our team. As a key member of our logistics and supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt and distribution of goods and materials to support our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments and process paperwork related to receiving.
- Coordinate the distribution of goods and materials to various departments within the Aquarium.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipping activities.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support the maintenance of a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in shipping and receiving or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of purchasing, receiving, and shipping methods and procedures.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move 20 kgs.
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position that requires flexibility and availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift and move heavy objects.
