Ansys is a leading provider of simulation software for engineering and research. We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer Software & Automation to join our Customer Excellence team.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical pre-sales support, performing professional services, and helping to translate customer requirements into exciting new product features. You will work closely with our customers to engineer innovative solutions, deploy Ansys software in their design workflows, and grow our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical pre-sales support to customers, including product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Ansys software and other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, and PLM software packages.
  • Work with customers to identify and solve real-world engineering problems, and to develop application best practices.
  • Support Ansys field and digital marketing efforts, including authoring conference presentations and contributing to consulting services.
  • Conduct introductory and/or intermediate training classes for customers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Materials, or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in an engineering software environment, or 0 years with a PhD.
  • Demonstrated use of Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, and PLM software packages.
  • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills, with excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and C-level executives.
  • Seven or more years of experience in the use of ANSYS Mechanical software, or other commercial FEA software for Structural Mechanics.
  • Strong background in advanced dynamics modeling methodologies, mechanical vibration analysis, multibody dynamics systems.
  • Familiarity with development and implementation of user subroutines and customization.
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation in FEA is highly desirable.
