Asset Protection Specialist

Protecting our stores and our customers is a top priority at Loblaw Companies Limited.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Asset Protection Representative to join our team. As an Asset Protection Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our stores and customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deter, detect, and apprehend theft and fraud within our retail locations
  • Collaborate with other Asset Protection Representatives to investigate provincial or national ORC cases
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment for our customers and employees
  • Investigate internal investigations, compile and present evidence for court or arbitration
  • Identify potential shrink opportunities within our operational core compliance
  • Build and maintain store partnerships through management meetings and huddles, coaching and mentoring colleagues on Asset Protection policies and procedures
  • Participate in conducting store-level audits
  • Participate in community events
  • Be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends (40-hour work week)

Requirements:

  • Valid Provincial Security Guard License required
  • Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and Powers of Arrest and CCTV and/or surveillance systems
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor
  • High degree of initiative and integrity required to be successful in a dynamic environment
