Job Title: Public Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Public Health Nurse to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority.

Job Summary:

The Public Health Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing care and support to individuals and communities in the province. This includes conducting health assessments, developing and implementing health promotion programs, and providing education and support to patients and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct health assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Develop and implement health promotion programs to promote healthy behaviors and prevent disease
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on health-related topics
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of health promotion principles and practices
