About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Millwright to join our team at Arla Foods Canada in our Atwood Ontario facility. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance function for the facility, ensuring optimal efficiency of production, packaging, and accessory equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure maintenance is performed in accordance with Arla Foods standards, including HACCP and applicable legislation.
  • Optimize maintenance of process equipment, service installations, and production IT.
  • Respond timely to maintenance requests, including on-call maintenance.
  • Implement continuous improvements in your area of responsibility.
  • Propose and participate in the implementation of investments, technology, and equipment needed to optimize Atwood's Dairy resources and efficiency.
  • Provide information on equipment life expectancy and replacement recommendation timelines.
  • Coordinate facility cleanliness, ensuring the land and premises around the Dairy are maintained in good order.
  • Participate in supply chain activities between dairy areas to ensure deliveries.
  • Act as the point of contact for relevant government bodies.
  • Ensure all work areas under your responsibility are kept clean and tidy at all times, adhering to GMP and HACCP program requirements.
  • Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.

Requirements

You must be a certified Industrial Millwright with strong knowledge of Electrical/system components gained through work experience. At least two years of experience in a maintenance role in a food production environment is required.
