Working in our manufacturing team, you will oversee the maintenance function for the facility, helping to optimize the efficiency of production, packaging, and accessory equipment, in addition to the overall facility.

About the role

  • Reporting to the Production Manager, you responsibilities will include:
  • Ensure that maintenance is performed in accordance with Arla Foods standards, including HACCP, and applicable legislation
  • Ensure optimal maintenance of process equipment, service installations and production IT
  • Ensure timely response in maintaining production facilities, including on-call maintenance
  • Ensure that continuous improvements in area of responsibility are sought and implemented
  • Propose and participate in the implementation of investments, technology, and equipment needed to optimize Atwood’s Dairy resources and efficiency
  • Provide information regarding equipment life expectancy and replacement recommendation timelines
  • Responsible to coordinate facility cleanliness, ensuring the land and premises around the Dairy are maintained in good order, including performing environmental work and maintenance and wastewater
  • Participate in the coordination of supply chain activities between the various dairy areas for the purpose of ensuring deliveries
  • Act as the point of contact for relevant government bodies
  • Ensure all work areas under the responsibility of maintenance are kept clean and tidy at all times and adhere to GMP and HACCP program requirements
  • Having knowledge and adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations

Who are you?

You are a certified Industrial Millwright with strong knowledge of Electrical/system components gained through work experience, and have worked at least two years in a maintenance role in a food production environment.
