Key Responsibilities:

  • SUPERVISE AND MOTIVATE A TEAM OF DIETARY STAFF: Coach, mentor, and lead a dedicated team of up to 45 direct reports (both unionized and non-unionized staff). Foster a positive, high-performing team by promoting respect, inclusion, and empathy.
  • ENHANCE OUR SERVICES: Oversee food preparation, portioning, presentation, and overall quality of meals, ensuring each meal is made with care and meets the highest standards.
  • FOSTER A POSITIVE CULTURE: Create an environment where respect, inclusion, and empathy thrive. Your leadership will help cultivate a team that celebrates diversity, equity, and inclusion at the heart of everything we do.

Requirements:**

  • EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Graduated from an approved program in Food Services Supervision or Nutrition Management, or Registered Dietitian with experience in Quantity Food Service and Management. At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a unionized healthcare setting, ideally within a Long-Term Care Facility.
  • EXPERT KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of nutritional guidelines and health regulations, including the Long Term Care Homes Act, HACCP, and Public Health requirements.
  • LEADERSHIP & COACHING SKILLS: Thrive in a leadership role, providing guidance and coaching needed to ensure high performance and a positive work environment.
