Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and motivate a team of underwriters to achieve departmental objectives
  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies to drive business growth and improve client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address business opportunities and challenges
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Provide technical support and guidance to underwriters and clients
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of life underwriting experience
  • FLMI and FALU designations preferred
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual French/English required
Abilities:
  • Advanced life insurance medical and financial underwriting skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel as required
