Director of Underwriting

Job Summary
CNA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced underwriter to join our team as a Senior Underwriting Manager. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for managing complex underwriting risks and developing specialized endorsement language for high-risk clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with senior management to assess the acceptability of complex underwriting risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential losses.
- Develop and implement underwriting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business strategies and marketing initiatives.
- Provide expert underwriting guidance and support to less experienced underwriters and assist in the development of underwriting training programs.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulatory changes and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of senior underwriting experience with a proven track record of results.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
