About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Peterborough Tokyo Sushi. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure they are clean and well-maintained.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Supervision: Work under the supervision of our Head Chef to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Cuisine Specialties: Prepare and cook Japanese cuisine dishes to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate dependability, flexibility, initiative, organization, reliability, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience: Have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Schedule: Work 40 hours per week in a permanent position.
  • Language: Speak English as the primary language of communication.
