Job Title: Sales Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at Arterra Wines Canada. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for managing and growing our sales in the Fraser Valley East territory, which includes Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Mission, and Langley.

The Role:

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and selling to a variety of multi-channel customers, including Government Liquor Stores, Independent Retailers, Grocery, and On-Premise Accounts.
  • Securing distribution and expanding sales of our premium wine portfolio from both a volume and market share perspective.
  • Positioning Arterra Wines Canada as the core supplier of premium wine in the area.
Responsibilities:

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing our selling methodology to grow volume, sales revenue, market share, and premiumize the available product mix.
  • Ensuring annual sales volume, revenue, and margin contribution of accounts meet planned levels.
  • Developing annual account plans, progress reports, and tracking industry/competitive information.
  • Maintaining an appropriate call pattern and schedule for a predefined group of accounts.
  • Developing and delivering persuasive sales presentations to increase account share at existing wine accounts and secure distribution at new and developmental accounts.
  • Utilizing Salesforce.com for business and weekly call planning, establishing call frequency, and real-time tracking of monthly targets of initiatives.
  • Managing and controlling a promotional budget at both account and territory levels.
  • Securing and cultivating a strong position as a core partner and trusted resource within the trading area.
  • Developing and maintaining a professional relationship with all key decision makers and their partners.
  • Creating, maintaining, and consulting on wine lists for restaurants, hotels, and pubs.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to ensure cooperative and positive business development and growth.
  • Identifying, creating, and managing need-satisfying, value-added initiatives and programs with accounts.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Enthusiasm, energy, and a strong desire to learn and succeed.
  • A University Degree or Comparable (Primary Focus on Business, Sales, and/or Marketing).
  • A track record of success in a similar role with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience.
  • WSET or ISG Certification an asset.
  • Strong wine product knowledge and understanding of the BC beverage alcohol industry.
  • Account/Territory Management experience.
  • Proven Experience or Certification in Sales and Negotiation.
  • Strong analytical skills and polished presentation abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to deal effectively with customers and peers.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, driven, and disciplined.
  • Computer literacy, including the ability to create and modify PowerPoint presentations, Word and Excel documents, as well as effectively utilize web-based tools and resources.
  • Proof of valid Driver's License will be required.
  • Genuine interest and passion for the beverage alcohol industry.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently and as required.
  • Must reside within, or in close proximity to, the general area of the sales territory.
  • Must be able to lift wine cases weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Must love to have FUN and be a part of a winning team.

Budgeted Range – $58,000-$72,000/annual. The budgeted range will align with qualifications, including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements.
