Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Press Operator - Progressive Set-Up to join our team at Magna Exteriors. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating progressive presses, ensuring the highest quality products while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a post-secondary education in a technical field preferred;
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn;
- Ability to train on day or afternoon shifts;
- Able to ensure safety checklists are followed, completed, and recorded prior to setup;
- Working knowledge of First and Last Off Procedure, loading, unloading, and storing tooling equipment safely;
- Experience with operating presses for both manual and progressive dies;
- Knowledge of measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and calipers;
- Good English communication skills (written and verbal);
- Strong mathematical skills;
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Estimated Salary:
$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, location, and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Starting and shutting down all necessary equipment to run the press;
- Operating press controls and tooling protection or other pieces of equipment to run a press;
- Communicating issues or problems to the area leader;
- Ordering or having in stock all necessary equipment and parts required for quick die change;
- Maintaining the operation of two simultaneously running presses;
- Keeping one press cycling while doing set-up on the other press;
- Communicating with area leaders, maintenance, toolroom, etc., concerning any problems/requirements affecting the operation of two presses and tooling problem-solving.
