Job Title: Human Resources Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Officer to join our team at I. G. MACHINE & FIBERS LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements and develop strategies to meet them.
  • Prepare and post job notices and advertisements, and coordinate the recruitment process.
  • Screen and interview applicants, and make recommendations for hiring.
  • Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Review candidate inventories and make recommendations for selection.
  • Coordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates.
  • Notify applicants of results of selection process and prepare job offers.
  • Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes and coordinate termination of employment process.
  • Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training.
  • Recruit and hire staff.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of human resources software and Microsoft Office.
