Job Summary
Tolko Industries is seeking a skilled Certified Welder to join our team in Armstrong, British Columbia. As a Fabrication Welder, you will be responsible for the lay-out, fitting, and fabrication of metal components to assemble structural forms, such as machinery frames, platforms, handrails, machine guarding, and piping.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply your knowledge, experience, and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and complete work to mill standards.
- Read blueprints and interpret OEM maintenance information to complete work to mill standards.
- Repair metal components and infrastructure using gas, arc-air, MIG, TIG, and electrode as required.
- Work independently and within a team to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless production and quality control.
Requirements
- Valid Interprovincial ticket and A-level Welder certification.
- Commitment to working safely and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) - preferably JD Edwards.
