Job Title: Tradesperson - Plumbing and Maintenance

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team as a plumber and maintenance specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform maintenance, repair, and renovation work on gas, air, water, and waste disposal systems
* Handle low-risk asbestos or other hazardous insulation materials
* Carry out repair on machinery and equipment, inspect, diagnose defects, and take remedial action as required
* Prepare cost estimates for jobs and order required materials
* Work from oral and written instructions, work orders, and drawings
* Assemble parts, equipment, fittings, and join them by soldering, brazing, gluing, screwing, calking, bolting, and other methods

Requirements:

* Willingness to respect diverse perspectives
* Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing one's own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion
* Trade certification to journeyperson level as a plumber
* Valid BC Gas Fitter B License with electrical endorsement for low voltage
* BC Cross Connection Control certificate
* Valid BC Drivers Licence
* Minimum 5 years of related experience
* Ability to interpret drawings and specifications, sketches of work required, and maintenance manuals
* Effective oral and written communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
* Ability to provide quality service to customers in a courteous, patient manner
* Ability to develop and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships
* Ability to work various shift patterns dependent upon operational needs
* Familiarity with controls and HVAC an asset
