Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant to join our Forensic team in Calgary. The ideal candidate will have approximately 2-3 years of professional experience in accounting and/or auditing, with a specialization in Forensic Accounting. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for continuous learning, growth, and development within a fast-paced and specialized field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead or assist in forensic accounting mandates, including financial fraud investigations, fraud prevention, forensic examinations, and damage quantification.
  • Analyze financial data, examine documents, conduct in-depth research, and engage in forensic accounting engagements concerning contractual disputes, asset misappropriations, and conflicts of interest.
  • Implement investigative plans for sensitive litigation cases and objectively analyze complex financial issues.
  • Document review, interviewing assistance, examination preparation, and leveraging data analytics tools and techniques.
  • Prepare and present financial reports as an independent expert, plan and supervise report drafting, and participate in deliverable production.
  • File organization and administration, marketing and business development activities, and maintaining client relationships as a business partner.
Requirements:
  • Government of Canada Security Clearance ability.
  • Bachelor of Business Administration or similar degree.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required (or successful completion of Common Final Exam).
  • Specialization in Forensic Accounting, with additional professional designations like CBV, CFA, CFE, or CFF.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in accounting and/or auditing, with minimum two years' experience in Forensic Accounting and/or Business Valuation.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal abilities, presentation preparation, interviewing, and workshop leadership.
  • Relationship development and management skills, with the ability to interact with professionals at various levels, establish credibility, and build trust.
  • Enjoy working in a team environment, flexibility to do engagements in other areas of advisory services when needed.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, rapid adaptability in changing environments, and excellent research and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in software such as MS Access, Alteryx, SQL, ACL/Galvanize/IDEA, Tableau/Power BI, Python, R, and SAS would be considered an asset.
Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annumBenefits:
