We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at GR Baker Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and nursing practice activities within the framework of quality management and in accordance with the BCCNM Standards for Nursing Practice and Northern Health Mission, Vision, and Values statement.
- Participate in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Contribute to the education and training of nursing staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Ability to promote safe, competent, patient care.
- Ability to recognize and intervene appropriately in an emergency situation.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to operate related equipment, including computer software such as Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the healthcare team.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
