We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at GR Baker Memorial Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in our Mental Health program, you will provide compassionate patient care to individuals with addictions, psychiatric illness, and/or challenging behaviors.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to individuals with mental health needs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure effective patient flow and care coordination
- Provide education and support to patients and families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN registrant
- Minimum of one year recent experience in an acute mental health setting or equivalent experience in other areas of the mental health field
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to operate related equipment
- Ability to apply clinical and critical thinking
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the health care team and clients/families
