Job Title: Truck Diesel Mechanic Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Truck Diesel Mechanic Specialist to join our team at East Coast International Trucks, Inc. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year.

Job Description:

  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions in heavy trucks.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Order parts and maintain inventory to ensure efficient repairs.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, including welding experience.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work on heavy trucks.
  • Perform repair work on diesel engines, fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, air conditioning systems, lubrication systems, and engine control systems.
  • Install and align engines and machinery as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in diesel mechanics, preferably in a trucking industry setting.
  • Possess a strong understanding of diesel engines and their components.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with welding equipment and techniques.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and handle heavy loads.
