Diesel Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Diablo Diesel Performance Ltd. The ideal candidate will have experience in repairing and maintaining heavy trucks, as well as troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Verify and repair emission control systems

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Or equivalent experience

Work Environment:

  • Permanent position
  • 40 hours per week
  • Work Language: English
