About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Power Transformer Design Engineer to join our team at WR Transformateurs inc. in Saint-Alphonse de Granby. As a key member of our design team, you will play a pivotal role in creating innovative solutions for our dry-type electrical transformers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed transformer designs, taking into account electrical and mechanical specifications.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and technical documentation for new product development.
  • Collaborate with our design team to ensure seamless integration of transformer designs.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks to identify and resolve potential system failures.
  • Communicate design plans to 3D designers and ensure effective project execution.
  • Hold a diploma related to electricity and possess a minimum of 1 year of experience as a designer of electrical transformers.
  • Proficient in reading electrical and mechanical plans, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English or French is mandatory, with proficiency in SolidWorks software being an asset.
