Key Responsibilities
  • Assign sales workers to duties and oversee their performance
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to excel in their roles
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage the store's finances
  • Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all tasks are completed on time
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that all products are accurately stocked and easily accessible
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers, providing guidance and support as needed
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in a retail environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure
  • Accurate, client-focused, flexible, organized, and a team player
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory role
  • Permanent employment with 35 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
