Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team at GPAC. As a Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in civil and commercial litigation cases, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and preparing for court hearings and trials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in civil and commercial litigation cases, including builders liens, construction law, and family law
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support client cases
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, utilizing strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Advise clients on legal matters and provide strategic guidance throughout the litigation process

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to the bar and licensed to practice law in British Columbia
  • Proven experience in civil litigation, with a strong track record of success
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues
