About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Barada Development. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, finishing corners and angles, and creating decorative designs in the finish coat.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Supervise other workers and ensure a safe working environment
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
  • Estimate costs and materials
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Commercial work experience
  • Ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced environment
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
