Job Title: Drywall Installation Specialist

Barada Development is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, finishing corners and angles, and creating decorative designs in the finish coat.

Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Supervise other workers and ensure high-quality workmanship
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy materials
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Work Environment:

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work on various construction sites, including commercial and residential projects. You will be required to work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, and in confined spaces.
