Territory Sales Associate

Job Summary:

The Territory Sales Associate is a part-time role that is an integral part of the field sales team at Hallmark. Reporting to the Territory Manager, this position will support the implementation of sales programs within an assigned group of accounts and sales representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train new and existing sales representatives on sales processes and procedures.
  • Ensure sales representatives maintain the expected number of visits and work within the allocated hours to meet sales targets.
  • Support sales coverage where vacancies exist, or where coverage is needed due to vacation or sick leave.
  • Participate in and assist with sales revisions, remerchandising, relocations, and new store installations in assigned territory as required.
  • Be flexible to react to issues that arise on a job site in real-time to ensure existing priorities can still be achieved.

Communication Skills:

  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Territory Manager and sales colleagues to ensure knowledge of upcoming sales programs and in-store activities is up to date.
  • Strong communication skills are required to gain, share, and clarify instructions and job requirements.
  • Liaise with account management as a Hallmark representative to identify any issues or opportunities and advise the Territory Manager.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with sales representatives and account-level management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in a retail environment is beneficial
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Must be able to travel when required
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Must have strong knowledge of smartphone technology and ability to effectively manage an email account
