About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Associate with 5+ years of experience in construction law and construction-related insurance defense work to join our team at Ignite Talent Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle multiple files through the litigation process, both independently and as a member of an experienced team.
  • Carry out own files and work with senior counsel on more complex matters.
  • Negotiate and litigate all types of construction disputes, including issues related to the tender process, procurement, money due, deficiencies, liens, trusts, and negligent work.
  • Advise clients on the negotiation and drafting of construction-related contracts, including design-build, construction management, stipulated sum prime contracts, and subcontracts.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' post-call experience with demonstrated knowledge and interest in litigation, particularly construction-related matters.
  • Strong teamwork skills, trustworthiness, accountability, proactivity, and a positive work attitude.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Construction Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage client relationships.
