Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Tiuz Ltd. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Source and procure high-quality food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that our restaurant is well-stocked and ready for service.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Staff: Lead and motivate a team of staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required: Accurately estimate the quantity of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and ensuring that our restaurant remains profitable.
  • Hire Food Service Staff: Recruit and hire skilled and experienced food service staff, ensuring that our restaurant has the best talent to deliver exceptional service.
  • Ensure Quality Control Standards: Implement and maintain quality control standards, ensuring that our food meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates, ensuring that our restaurant remains profitable and financially stable.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints, resolving issues and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that our restaurant remains compliant with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required for this role.
  • Experience: Experience in a food service environment is an asset.

  • Support for Indigenous People: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, providing cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination, providing workspace accommodations and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, offering mentorship programs and diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
