Food Service Operations Manager

CuppaJoe Coffee Roasters is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our café, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our business runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets to determine the cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies.
- Operations Evaluation: Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
- Menu Planning and Pricing: Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget.
- Labour Cost Management: Monitor revenues to determine labour costs and make adjustments as necessary.
- Staff Management: Supervise staff, train staff, and conduct performance reviews to ensure that our team is working at its best.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that we have the necessary supplies to meet customer demand.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
- Marketing and Promotion: Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote our café and attract new customers.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and attention to detail.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
