AMJ Professional Tax and Accounting Services Corp is seeking a skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with experience in calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and maintaining general ledgers and financial statements. The successful candidate will also have excellent computer and technology skills, including proficiency in accounting software. The position requires a minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. The work schedule is 37.5 hours per week, with a permanent employment duration. The language of work is English. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing tax returns, and reconciling accounts. **Key Responsibilities:**

* Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
* Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
* Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
* Post journal entries
* Prepare tax returns
* Reconcile accounts

**Requirements:**

* 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
* Excellent computer and technology skills, including proficiency in accounting software
* Strong communication and organizational skills
