The Government of Alberta is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead the Disability Services North team. As a key member of the Seniors, Community and Social Services ministry, you will provide strategic oversight for service delivery of the Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) and Family Supports for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) programs across the North Zone.

Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Disability Services, you will be responsible for managing significant fiscal, human resource, and stakeholder management issues. You will ensure consistency of program service delivery in a client-centric service model that includes contracted agencies and service providers.

The successful candidate will have extensive senior management experience in disability services, including demonstrated expertise in leading the delivery of complex client-facing programs and services. You will bring experience in managing contracted services, program initiatives, stakeholder collaboration, program/policy/financial quality assurance, and empowering high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic oversight for service delivery of PDD and FSCD programs across the North Zone
  • Manage significant fiscal, human resource, and stakeholder management issues
  • Ensure consistency of program service delivery in a client-centric service model
  • Liaise with other Disability Services Executive Directors to support provincial consistency of program delivery and policy

Requirements:

  • Extensive senior management experience in disability services
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading the delivery of complex client-facing programs and services
  • Experience in managing contracted services, program initiatives, stakeholder collaboration, program/policy/financial quality assurance, and empowering high-performing teams
