Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planning and Capacity Building Specialist to join our team in Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. As a key member of our project, you will play a crucial role in strengthening the capacity of National Conservation Trust Funds (NCTFs) across the region to mainstream gender equality and social inclusion into their policies, programs, and services.

About the Role

The Caribbean Organizations for Resilient Environments (CORE) project aims to build the capacity of NCTFs operating in eight countries to implement local, nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation with a gender-responsive lens.

  • You will support the development of strategic directions and priorities through research and consultation with staff, members, and stakeholders.
  • Complete an organizational assessment to identify areas for improvement and growth.
  • Establish a work plan for the strategic planning process to ensure successful implementation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A university degree in social sciences, international development, human rights, gender studies, social work, law, public policy, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a position related to the promotion of gender equality, diversity, and women's development issues.
  • Experience working with government agencies and senior management teams.
  • Excellent training and facilitation skills.
