The Department of Anthropology at the University of Saskatchewan is seeking a distinguished scholar to fill the position of Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Community-Engaged Plains Archaeology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in precontact and post-contact archaeological contexts, as well as a mix of professional and academic knowledge. About the PositionThis is a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair appointment, which is a prestigious recognition of academic excellence. The successful candidate will be appointed as a Full or Associate Professor and will be expected to lead research initiatives that have a significant impact on the field of archaeology.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in Plains archaeology, with a focus on Indigenous communities and community-based research
