Masonry Technician

Job Title: Masonry Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Masonry Technician to join our team at BS-1 MASONRY LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to masonry construction, including laying bricks, blocks, and concrete.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement
• Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
• Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

Requirements:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Working Conditions:

• Physically demanding work environment
• Exposure to dust, wet/damp conditions, and extreme temperatures
• May be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions
