About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Petroleum Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of petroleum equipment, electrical systems, and fuel management systems for retail petroleum stations, large-scale industrial manufacturing plants, utility providers, transit services, and public works yards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-the-job technical learning and shadow accredited technicians to support service and maintenance of petroleum equipment, systems, and accessories.
- Repair and maintain leak detection systems.
- Build hours towards petroleum technician accreditation.
- Deliver parts to jobsites as required.
- Manage and maintain the shop and warehouse.
- Assist on service calls under the supervision of a lead technician.
- Maintain professionalism, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner.
- Develop independent judgment in solving unusual work problems.
- Develop strong, trustworthy, and lasting relationships with clients.
- Ensure that company health and safety policies and procedures are followed.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and affinity for solving mechanical problems.
- Clean driver's abstract and valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Moderate computer skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
