Job Overview

Merrick & Company is a leading provider of engineering services, with a diverse team of experts dedicated to delivering exceptional results. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III to join our Life Science team in our Kanata office.

Key Responsibilities

Design electrical systems for facilities and laboratories, including power distribution, emergency power generation, and lighting design.
Provide conceptual and detailed design, analysis, and supporting documentation for electrical systems.
Collaborate with clients to prepare and validate proposed scope of work, and prepare fee proposals for engineering design work.
Work effectively within a collaborative team environment, communicating clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in facility electrical engineering design.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
Minimum 4 years of experience using REVIT/AutoCAD or other design software-based drawing generation.
Experience with electrical calculation tools, including lighting and power software, is desired.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
Experience with technical codes, such as NEC, NESC, NFPA, and IEEE, is required.
Canadian Citizenship is required for client projects.
