About the Job

This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week. As a home support worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes.



Responsibilities


  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Support clients with regular exercise, such as walking
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Mend clothing and linens
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Plan nutritious meals and snacks
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Assist with personal care, including grooming and toileting


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • First Aid and CPR certification an asset
