Job Overview

The Reliability Engineer plays a crucial role in the Engineering team, ensuring the reliable functioning of equipment and systems. They collaborate with various teams to analyze data and develop processes that enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime, aimed at optimizing overall equipment effectiveness and operational efficiency.

The primary function of this position is equipment life cycle management, with a significant focus on the manufacturing floor. This involves understanding and managing the operational life cycle of each piece of process equipment.

This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams is also essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather Data: Collect information on equipment performance and maintenance history.
- Conduct Reliability Analysis: Identify potential failures and their effects.
- Perform Life Cycle Cost Analysis: Estimate total ownership costs over time.
- Define Component End-of-Life: Determine when major components should be replaced.
- Review and Update: Regularly update assessments based on new data and changes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track equipment reliability and identify trends or patterns.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Millwright/Electrical trade certification is a strong asset.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a reliability-engineering role, preferably in a food-manufacturing environment.
