Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to join our team at WJS Canada. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing high-quality programming within our communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement outcome-based programming in collaboration with the Program Director and community stakeholders.
  • Promote WJS Canada's family services programs and initiatives to support children, families, and communities.
  • Implement collaborative service delivery with community-based agencies and professionals.
  • Advocate for and respond to client needs and desires.
  • Maintain client files and report program outcomes.
  • Attend case conferencing and manage critical incidents.
  • Interview, hire, and train social services staff.
  • Supervise and monitor social work caseloads.
  • Identify staff strengths and provide mentorship.
  • Assist in future contract negotiations.
  • Participate in community development projects.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Work, or related field.
  • 5 years of management experience in social work or human services.
  • Strong knowledge of Signs of Safety, Solution Focused Training, Attachment Theory, Trauma Informed Care, and Collaborative Service Delivery.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of Indigenous culture.
  • Conflict resolution, mediation, and crisis prevention and intervention skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines, policies, and standards.
  • Experience working with computer software programs.
  • Valid Alberta Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
  • CPR/First Aid certificates and suicide prevention training.
