About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Rehabilitation Service Worker to join our team at ChezRanti Community Centre Ltd. As a key member of our community development team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with special needs and promoting their independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Develop and implement specialized rehabilitation programs to meet the unique needs of our clients.
    • Collaborate with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Client Support and Services
    • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support clients in achieving their goals.
    • Assist clients with special needs, including accompanying them to appointments and social outings.
    • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Program Evaluation and Research
    • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs and making recommendations for improvement.
    • Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research.
  • Team Collaboration and Communication
    • Liaise with other team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of new initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College/CEGEP diploma in a relevant field (e.g., social work, psychology, rehabilitation services).
    • 3-5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a community development or social support setting.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and mutual support.
    • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on community development and social support. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and mutual support.

Language and Work Hours

The primary language of work is English, and the successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours as needed.
