About the Role:

As a software development intern in our Research and Development department, you will participate in challenging projects with tangible impacts in the healthcare sector, where our solutions are used from warehouse to the operating room, and distribution, where our solutions allow independent companies to compete with giants of their industry and thus maintain their independence.

You will be part of a Scrum team that emphasizes continuous improvement of practices and teamwork, collaborating with experienced developers who prioritize fun and learning while working together.

Responsibilities:

  • Backend Development (Python):
    • Collaborate with the development team to design, implement, and maintain the Python-based backend for our automation framework, creating robust APIs and integrating them with various components.
    • Optimize code for performance and scalability using frameworks for streamlined development.
  • Front-End UI Development (React, JavaScript, CSS):
    • Develop user-friendly interfaces using React, JavaScript, and CSS, ensuring seamless integration between front-end and back-end components.
    • Implement state management for efficient application state and responsive designs to enhance user experience.
  • Scale and Performance Testing:
    • Design and execute scale and performance tests to evaluate system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize resource utilization, analyzing test results and providing recommendations for improvement.
    • A knowledge of Jmeter would be an asset.
  • Test Plan Development (SOAP, XML, REST):
    • Collaborate with QA and product teams to understand customer use cases, creating comprehensive test plans for SOAP, XML, and REST-based services, ensuring test coverage across different scenarios.
  • Analytical Skills:
    • Apply strong analytical and logical thinking to analyze use cases and translate them into effective test strategies, identifying edge cases and corner scenarios for thorough testing.

Requirements:

  • Complete college studies in computer science or computer engineering to embark on a professional career in a stimulating environment.
  • Possess a logical approach, organized with good interpersonal skills and able to work well under pressure.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
  • A strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication is essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.
