Job Overview

As a Paint Chemical Technician at F&P Mfg. Inc., you will play a critical role in maintaining the paint system, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diversified duties to repair and maintain paint system equipment, including diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, and testing automated production equipment.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on paint and waste water equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform titration testing and other procedures using centrifugal, diaphragm, and chemical metering pumps, adhering to strict quality control protocols.
  • Utilize a variety of hands and power tools to perform tasks, including general clean-up and organization of the work area.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient operation of the paint system, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

Requirements:

  • College Diploma in Science/Chemistry or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to read and understand operation standards, blueprints, maintenance, and equipment manuals.
  • Regularly required to lift up to 30lbs, with the ability to stand for long periods and work at heights and in confined spaces.

Work Environment:

  • Office and plant environment, with potential exposure to dust, odors, noise, smoke, and other hazardous materials.
